Will my Insurance cover these procedures? We accept insurance from most insurance companies. Please call our office if you have more specific questions regarding your particular plan. 281 - 461 - 6700
Can I drive myself to the appointment? Yes, most endodontic procedures are done with the aid of local anesthetic just like when your general dentist does a filling or a crown.
What will I experience in terms of discomfort after the procedure? Most of the time over the counter medications such as Ibuprofen or Tylenol are needed for the first couple of days. In a small percentage of cases, and depending on the particular procedure that was done, there may be a need for prescription medications.
Can I eat or drink after treatment? It is always best to avoid eating or drinking when you are numb. Once the anesthetic wears off, you may eat or drink but should keep the food to the opposite side of where the work was done untill it heals.
When do I return to my general dentist for follow-up restorative care (like a filling or crown)? It is best to return by approximately two weeks as this gives the tooth some time to heal before the final restoration (filling or crown) is placed.
